| Shader Swapping Tutorial TUTORIAL MADE BY: JAY Shader Swapping In this tutorial i'll be teaching you how to shader swap, we will be using HMT v3.5 so if you don't have that then refer to the modding basics tutorial. 1. Open up HMT v3.5 and then open up the map you want to do this on. 2. For this example i'm going to swap the sniper rifles shaders with a jackal shield shader. All of the normal shaders are in the [soso]Shader Model tag and the jackal shield shader just happens to be in the [scex]Unknown PC Shader tag, you can use other ones from the other shader tags if you want but [scex] has the ones used most often. 3. Open the [scex]Unknown PC Shader tag and click on characters\jackal\shaders\jackal shield. Copy the meta number from up in the Tag Information section as shown in the picture below. ![]() ![]() 4. Open up the [soso]Shader Model tag and scroll down to the sniper rifle or whatever you're doing this with, there will be more than one tag for object. ie. the sniper rifle 3 separate shaders to it. Click on each of the shader models for that object and paste your copied jackal shield meta over the snipers meta as shown in the picture below. ![]() ![]() 5.
