i want to be able place all of my music and movies onto my xbox and have it accessable from the internet for streaming/downloading

how would i go about doing this, once i have a chipped box and a bigger hard drive installed.

you could just put linksbox onto your modded xbox. you can get it through xbins. then just connect to the net. should work at least
