Halo PC Tut #4 --- Unlimited Ammo

Today we'll be learning how to give are selves unlimted ammo. This is what it's called but you actually are just giving yourself alot of ammo and not an infinite amount as some people believe. We are going to be using HMT v3.5 with the 64 pluggins for this so if you don't have it already than you can download it from the link below.

Here's the link.

Step 1: Open up HMT.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 2: Navigate to the map you want to do this on by going to File> Open> and then wherever you saved the game to and then into the maps folder then hit Open, I picked sidewinder.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 3: In the Resource Browser go to the [weap] tag and open it, you should see a bunch of tags, they're all weapons that you can edit.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 4: I'll be using the pistol as an expample but you can choose anything you want aslong as it shoots something. So scroll down to the weapons\pistol\pistol tag and open it.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 5: In the Tag Editor box scroll down until you see the word Magazines with a drop down box beside it.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 6: Select the 0 in the drop down box and you should see some numbers pop up below.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 7: We are going to be wanting to change the following ones: Rounds Total Initial, Rounds Total Max, Rounds Loaded Time, Rounds Time, Rounds Reloaded. When you change them you might get the following box coming up everytime you remove one of the numbers but just hit the "OK" button and keep on ignoring it.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 8: Change all the box's that I listed in the previous step from there original numbers to 10000 and hit the Save button. Your weapon now has 10000 bullets, don't worry it'll be enough for whatever your doing.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 9: Right below the Magazines section there is another section titled Triggers. Right beside the word Triggers is another drop down box.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 10: Select the 0. Now make shure the second check box down isn't selected. It's the one called "Does Not Repeat Automatic Fire". This makes shure are weapon will be fully automatic instead of pausing inbetween shots ie. the sniper rifle.
Click the image to open in full size.

Step 11: After making shure that isn't selected (unless you want it to be). Hit the save button and close the map file. You can reapeat this on every weapon that shoots something until your hearts content.
Click the image to open in full size.

The last couple steps I had you do won't actually make your weapon fully auto yet. I just got you to do that to make the next lesson easier. Anyways here's a picture of the "unlimited" ammo. The counter says 000 but it's actually not out of ammo.
