How To Ftp To Your Xbox

i have a question a have a modem and a router and i hooked it up to my computer and i want to know how to ftp to my xbox i seriously dont know....can i unplug a cord and hook it up to my xbox and then do it. I dont have and extra cord.

Hey GruntwithaBlunt If you have the unleashed x dashboard up (by highlighting the linux profile on ur game and pressing a) you will get connected. I had the same problem as you have and I did this to get it connected. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif[/img]

Ok, you need to network cables. One going from you computer to a router. then anohter from your router to your xbox. Thats all you need to do to set up.

alright when i try to disc rip a game through craxtion 4.0 it pops up with a error after its done and says something about i need to get jitDebugging for it to work. where can i download this from.

Try to go back to the craxtion website and download an earlier version of it. That might be the problem....

i softmodded my xbox, got everything to work, followed the splinter cell instructions from this forum and all. just one problem, i have the same problem as the guy with the linksys router. my xbox's ip is 192.168.0.2... im using FlashFXP and cannot connect to the xbox. plz AIM me at St0N3d K1rbY

oh nevermind... i skimmed through too fast and didnt kno i had to change to DHCP and then reboot my Xbox... xD... my bad... well it works now and the ip is now 192.168.1.101... =) weeeooo! time to cheat =D

Glad to hear you figured it out. Umm...and w/ the cheating thing...well you WILL get banned w/in a few hrs. Just a warning.

ok i have a modded dash but when i try and FTP it just says connection failed. also will a modem work or do i need a router?

A modem will most definitely not work...you need to run through a router or have your xbox and computer connected some other way. And make sure you change your ip to automatic...if you dont know what i mean, read the beginning of the tutorial...thats most peoples problems...they dont read the beginning.

alright, here's wut i did and wut it came out to:
i get the xbox softmodded wit the splinter cell save
i download the evox dash
turn off static ip
connect the syslink cord to my computer from the xbox
i try conencting to my xbox wit flashfxp and here's wut i get:
[R] Connecting to 192.168.0.2 -> IP=192.168.0.2 PORT=21
[R] Connection failed (No route to Host)
so then i read wut happened to other people, i set the IP to dhcp
restart the xbox
try to connect again, nothing happens
so then i try hooking up the syslink to my cable modem
connect wit flashfxp
i get the same thing:
[R] Connecting to 192.168.0.2 -> IP=192.168.0.2 PORT=21
[R] Connection failed (No route to Host)
and then i read that i can't hook it up to a modem.. but does that mean i can't hook it up to a dial up modem, a cable modem or both?

i read all the things that people said, i read the tutorial like a million times, nothing worked... so do i have to use a router or sumthin?... help would be much appreciated [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]

Make sure you look at the ip that displays in your XBOX. Cuz its not even connecting to anything when you are trying to connect.

1)Make sure you Xbox is on.
2)Go into your network settings and make sure that you static is off (or set to dhcp...meaning automatic) and make sure you save and exit that screen instead of exiting w/o saving.
3)If you cahnged your settings, you'll have to restart you xbox.
4)Go back into network settings and see what you new IP is. The default (when on static) will be 192.168.0.2, thats why I think you didnt SAVE AND EXIT.
5)Enter in your new IP into flashfxp and keep following the tutorial if need be.
