TUT: easy halo 2 disc making (w/pics)

The How To Make a Modded H2 disc on a dvd-r tutorial! (easy!)
programs/skillz needed:
You need to know how to ftp maps
You need to have a modded xbox (softmodded)
You need to know how to patch and resign maps
You need to have the following programs and the basic knowledge about them:
DVD Decryptor (May use another ISO writing tool i believe)
Craxtion v4 (other versions may work)
Flash FXP

This tutorial made and credited to dragonz2444 (dragonz2444)
Se7ensin Use only!

1) Open up your FlashFXP

2) Now that its Open Take the WHOLE HALO 2 CD and ftp it over to your xbox (should be the D drive)



3) Once you have your halo 2 into the right folder go into the map folder (example below)

4) Now that you are in your map folders take everything out that i don't have show in the picture below!

5) Now your that you have your maps add a patch/super patch/serenity patch to it and than resign it.

6)ALMOST DONE! Now Open up your Craxtion and Create an ISO out of your new found halo 2 folder (THE WHOLE FOLDER YOUR FTP'D --THE BINK MEDIA MAPS THE WHOLE FOLDER YOUR PUT THOSE IN YOU MAKE INTO AN ISO)


7) Once you made the ISO File it should look something like this Locate it and make sure its where you put it.

8)Now that the locating the file step is over (hard step :laughing open up your DVD Decrypter and follow the steps in the picture below.

9)Bam when its done you now have your brand new disc of old maps mod just put it in you modded xbox and play away!!

Its at the top 0.o use a dvd-r or a dvd-rw, you may be able to use it on live if your hotswap maybe >.<


haha just kidding you can't yay just for home use on your modded xbox not live compatable, you can play mods though if you want to and not get onto live with it, its a non-modder non-hotswap way

yeah too bad this doesnt work on xbl. anychance is it possible to burn the new map pack disc and have ur own modded maps on their so when u load the disc and copy the new maps ur copying modded maps?

Ya edit the mainmenu, add your maps in just gotta have a big enough disc but i think you can put at leat 90+ maps in a disc

i dont know, he said you cant but i think you might, im going to try it our right now, and my friend on xbl said that you can so, i guess ill just find out then wont i?

well, if you have a modded dash you can just ftp the halo 2 disk to your computer, mod the maps, make it an iso, and ftp it to the game folder of your xbox and just start it up from the modded dash.

All you have to do is HotSwap to play them on live. If you don't know what HotSwapping is, then you DON'T NEED to mod old maps on live. =D

You also need to add:
Once you open DVD Decrypter > click on mode > ISO > write

So yeah, I just did everything you said but when I put my Dvd-rw into my xbox, and I got the the evolution x dashboard, it says there is no disc in it. Also, when I launch yelo trainer, I don't get the option "halo 2". What did I do wrong?

i can't seem to get the maps to load
This is what i did
i put the halo 2 disc in my softmodded xbox
FTP'ed to my xbox, copyed all the files in ' D '
to my desktop
Got all the sppf's from FFry's Old Map Pack v1.9
patched them with Super PPF
made the iso with Craxtion v4
did all the things in DVD Decryptor put in my disc (4.7GB DVD+R)
then i put in my halo 2 disc (non-modded) went into pregame lobby
switched it with my modded disc, and then for every map, it says
You Failed to load the map.
Can someone please help me figure out how to mod old maps
to see if it was the maps failing, i FTPED the folder that contained all the modded maps
put it in ' E/Games/Old Maps '
went to softmodded dashboard, Games-Halo 2
it loaded, and all the old maps were MODDED!!!! but because of the update i can't go on xbox live with my softmod's on
Help if you know what i did wrong, or if you know what's going on, please.
