Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts | How To Save Halo2 To Your HDD! (Multiple Methods Listed!) Saving Halo 2 to your Hard Drive You Cannot Go On Live Like This!
I've seen a lot of people post about this, asking questions and so forth and which is better to do and stuff. I have decided to make a tutorial so no further threads about h2 on your HD.
Okay, lets start.
Saving Halo 2 to your Hard Drive:
This tutorial is going to teach you how to save you HALO 2 game to your Xbox's harddrive.
Do Not Ask If You Can Get On LIVE With This! You Cannot Get On Live With This!
Requirements For The Entire Tutorial:
- A Modded Xbox, Can be Softmodded Or Hardmodded.
- UnleashX Perferably, DVD2xbox, or a dashboard that you can FTP with.
- A Copy Of "Halo 2"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How To Save Halo 2 To Your HDD With DVD2XBOX:
Requirements For This Segment:
- A Modded Xbox, Can be Softmodded Or Hardmodded.
- DVD2XBOX
- A Copy Of Halo 2
Before we start, DVD2XBOX copies the entire disk. THis is a huge file, coming in at around 6gigs. Since we are not going to be able to go on live with this anyway let's do an easy HDD upgrade!
Use this tutorial for that. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/soft...e-upgrade.html
Step 1: FTP DVD2XBOX to your E:\Apps. (Get DVD2XBOX Here DvD2Xbox v7.8)
Step 2: In your dashboard go to "Applications" and hit "A". You should see "dvd2xbox" Hit "A" again.
A new screen should come up saying "Welcome to DVD2Xbox"
Step 3: From here it will tell you if you have a disc in the Xbox or not.
If you do not already have Halo 2 inserted put it in your Xbox.
Step 4: Wait for it say DVD: Game: or something of the sort. Then, hit "A".
Step 5: Now, in DVD2XBOX it should say
e:\
e:\games\
e:\music\
Obviously, we want e:\games\, so select that and hit "A".
Step 6: Now to proceed with the copying you can hit Start.
Notes:
Note 1: If you do not have more than half of the space on the stock HDD you will get a "Not enough space" message. But i reccomend upgradign the HDD anyway.
Note 2: If you wanna save space, once it's copied move the campaign maps to your pc's desktop because they are massive files. Unless your going to mod them that is.

How to put Halo 2 on your HDD with an FTP Client:
Requirements for this segment:
- An FTP Client (preferably FLASH FXP)
- A Modded Xbox, Can be Softmodded Or Hardmodded.
- A Copy Of Halo 2
Step 1: Connect to your Xbox via FTP. If you do not know how to do that, consult this tutorial. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/othe...your-xbox.html
Step 2: Now insert Halo 2 and refresh your FTP Client.
Step 3: Now you see the D: Drive. In there are the files of Halo 2.
Step 4: Click on each map and copy them to your desktop. When you are done also copy your default.xbe, fonts, & binks to your desktop. Now click all the folders and copy it to your desktop also.
Step 5: You may now close the D: drive and remove the halo 2 disc.
Step 6: Now open up the E: Drive in your FTP. In there You should see Games, now open that.
Step 7: Now YOu should see nothing but "put games here.txt" and two dots. Right click -> New -> Folder and call it halo2. Make sure that folder is inside E:\Games
Step 8: Now, you want to open the halo2 folder. Move everything you copied into that folder.
Step 9: Close your FTP client and restart your xbox. When your modded dash comes up, you should see halo 2 and be able to play it from your Games option of your dashboard.
I had helped someone out on this topic last night so i figured I would post the tutorial that helped me learn.. (all proper credit was given at the top.) +REP & THANKS GUYS! XD
