How to Softmod your Xbox with SID 4.0

To create new accounts without having to remove ur apps emulators etc. u first create a mod back up in the splinter cell mechassault etc setup screen after you load the installer. After that is done u can just hit the restore ms dash option and create an account then go back to the setup screen and hit restore mod back up it should bring everything u had back
BTW it doesnt back up the apps just the dashboard the stuff doesnt get deleted therefore u can switch between back and forth and it doesnt take much disk space

it wont let me sign on xbox live, and i switched from static to dhcp and it still doesnt work wat should i do?

Im new here and i wanted to know what to do, because when i try to put the extracted file into the mem card, its says "This is not a Valid Xbox Save" what do i do?

put the files on your desktop, not in any foler then drag and drop them

Make sure when you change to automatic that when you restart you are getting an ip to show up. If not, then you'll have to uninstall and install your softmod with krayzies installer.

ok i got another problem. the unleashx dashboard wont load. i turn on xbox, with no disk, and it goes to the normal dash.i try it with ejected,no disk, same thing. samething with a disk in 2. i also couldnt connect to FTP before that. please help me, i wont be able to go on xbox live till then

no, but i can just change my settings on the sid installer when i play splinter cell. pretty much every thing is fine, just i cant get to the modded dash. not that big of a deal

i have a question for anybody out there
i soft modded my friends xbox using mechassualt and the file named wafflezone tools
and when i try to restore the unmodded dashboard it will not restore it just restores itself to the "original" modded dashboard
please help

need help unmodded my friends xbox
we use mechassualt and the file called waffle zone tools
it modded fine,but when we try and "restore the unmodded dashboard" it does not do anything but go back to the original state of the modded dashboard.

it works fine on my xbox but it does not work on his for some reason

please someone help

When you backed up, it sounds like you backed up the modded dash, not the original dash. You're basically screwed unless you can find someone that can find an ms backup that used waffle tools. And this won't work if you modded your Xbox since it needs to work off of clean files.

no you do not have to buy action replay you can download it and then make you own cable like i did and it work fine

use the little end of a xbox controller (Cheap Wireless Controller) cable the part that plugs into the console and any extra cables with a usb end on it

cut off the end that goes into the console

cut of the usb end making sure to leave plenty of cable to connect the two

then splice all four wire on each cable

match the colors and twist them together and wrap in elctrical tape
(each one individually)

there you go that is all you need to make the cable that comes with action replay

if you need action replay i can give it to you just send me an IM and i will send it

ok, i intalled the softmod, but then "restored the MS dash" so i could get on live if i wanted to go back to the modded dash could i just go to restore mod back up?

no you would have to install mod, btw to get on live you dont need to unistall the softmod

You must be doing it wrong. Are you saving it after you change it? Or are you just not able to go to it to change it? Are you connected to a router?

i need major help. ok im new with modding and i read the tutorial and i have everything i need but i only have one problem. when it sais to double click the file after it is done installing to extract it. well my computer wont open it cause it sais it cant find where it came from and so it wont download. i just need to know if u can give me the links to everything i have to download in order to make sid4 work. i would really appreaciate it

are you saying your computer cant open the file? if so its becuase you dont have winrar, get it at rarlab.com and download it

ok i got that part now im stuck again. ok i have splinter cell but i cant find the other file for it. the file where there are 2 different splinter cell things. its the file that is right under the other file in that picture example it shows. soo i cant find it and if anyone can. could u tell me what the file is called exactly so i can look it up or can u tell me where i can find it in
