Hi guys thanks for a great forum, just one question I have bought a new Benq drive and am about to flash it.The question is since this is a new drive it won't have a key will it? So do I have to click Benq unlock to put this drive in vendor mode.

PS I already have key off old drive

Cheers:D

You still need to unlock it and put it in mode-b, otherwise it won't accept the info. Yes, you have to click BenQ unlock.

Mode-B is for Hitachi's right? Or do you have to do something with that through the gui app? I just use dosflash and it works great and easily.

DosFlash automatically unlocks the drive for you. In JF you have to click the benq unlock, then vendor intro

Where DosFlash automatically unlocks the drive then ask if you want to resend vendor intro.

Yes as long as you have your keys for you 360 from the old drive then this is what you do. Have your firmware made with jungleflasher in the first tab then do this.

1. click benq unlock
2. click Intro / Device ID
3. click erase
4. click write
5. then once its done writing. select the Outro / ATA Reset

The erase is to get rid of the flash that is already on the drive. It will erase and then you select to write. Technically you can skip the erase part and go straight to write since when you select write it erases the drive anyway. But do as you choose.
