Hey i have to send my itouch in because the heaphone jack is all messed up. I had it jailbroken with 3.0, but upgraded to 3.1.2 and have not jailbroken it. so my question is do i still need to reset my ipod even if it hasnt been jailbroken at 3.1.2?

I don't see why you would need to.
As long as they can't tell it's jailbroken, I am pretty sure you're fine.
I would assume that if you haven't jailbroken it on 3.1.2, there are no signs of it being jailbroken.
The only thing that I have ever noticed to stay with someone's device is when it is stuck rebooting over and over again, and then it is restored with a backup. The makeitmine carrier change stays the same and so do a few other things...
