Hello everyone, I'm a noob that has just signed up, and have only recently got into modding my XBox 360 and backing up my games (I hope I've posted this post in the right forum :P).

Ok, I've followed most of the many tutorials on the net, and think I have pretty much gotten backing up my games down now. However, I have just bought the new Halo 3 ODST, and am having problems backing it up...

I am using a Samsung SH-D162D with Kreon firmware to read the discs, and a Sony Optiarc DL DVD-RW to burn.
For software I am using XBC V2.8 along with ImgBurn.

I can create the .iso file from the original just fine with XBC, but I keep getting the following error message at around 50% - 51% of the burn with ImgBurn.

Like I say, I have backed up dozens of my other games using the same process with no problems, but funnily enough I had the exact same problem when I came to backup my original Halo 3 game as well??

I have tried switching SplitVid both on and off in XBC to see if that made any difference, but it didn't.

Has anyone had this problem before with these particular games, and if so is there a get-around for me to back them up successfully?

Thanks.

I had a similar problem, it was my burner, that might not be the reason for you.

Make sure you burn at 2.4x speed. Also check to make sure that your burner can even burn -RW DL discs, many can only burn +RW DL

Your absolutely right, I tried a Verbatim DVD+R DL disc, and it went straight through without a problem:cool:
