Ok i have softmodded my xbox a while back with Evo x and have modded all of the new maps and have gotten pretty good. I have recently found that you can put halo 2 on your HD and play it. I have done this and yes i can mod the old maps but can't sign in to XBL. I have heard it is because of this patch that you had to redownload the two newest maps or it was an update that fixed it. Now if this is the case then why cant i just flash it off. I have also heard to get a refurbished xbox and do the same thing and that would work because no updates but wouldnt i download them again when i signed on to XBL. Also is it possible to delete all cache including updates... Anyway if it is something that cannot be deleted then can i put in a new 8 gb flash drive with all of the default.xbe etc files and just either sauder wires so it is compatible or get adapter. if i can install a new Flash memory stick then could you tell me what the connection of the harddrive is already in xbox. If refurbished idea is a good one what do they do that erases everything.

You cant go on xbl if h2 on your hdd.
