I got a different 360 cause I sold my other one, and used the hdd from my old one and it says my gamer profile is corrupt. all the saves are there, and they say owner is :Corrupt Profile, if i get a transfer cable will i be able to recover and use my saves.

I'm not about to try to delete my profile and recover it, there are loads of posts of people that have experienced this, and they delete and then recover their profile, but the saves are no longer associated with the profile

Just want to know if I get the transfer cable, and use some of the special save/profile tricks will I be able to get my saves back

The saves ARE STILL associated with that profile, even if you delete it and recover it.

The issue lies not with the saves might not be linked or something like that, but rather that the console ID is also different. You see, each save is locked to a console ID (but that is not an issue), and all downloadable content is locked to the other console. You will ALSO need to go onto xbox.com, and get a license transfer, here is the link:

Do that, then delete and recover your profile. IT WILL WORK.

Um not sure this is right, i'm just interested in getting my game saves, and i don't see anything pertaining to the saves just xboxlive marketplace stuff, have you done this before, and can I even do this at all since I don't have the old console anymore, just the old harddrive

I did the license transfer, and then put my old harddrive back in it still shows the profile as corrupt, are you saying that now that I have done the license transfer I can delete and recover and it will have all my saves working again?

well if anything, just transfer the device ID and console ID to that of a save made on the new console, if all else fails. Still if you want to get your profile working again, you WILL need to recover it.

ALSO, try resigning the profile again, it is very well possible the key that it is currently signed with somehow got banned.

I deleted and restored my account(on the old hdd) that i used for a month (not my main account) that had a tiger woods save on it, i just loaded the game and the save isn't there. is there something else i have to do

also i had a mirrors edge save on that one too and it says the "save file is damaged, or can't be read. Do you want to overwrite it with a new save file?"

So i think this means that if i restore my main account i will be out of luck too

ok i just looked in the game saves, and it has 3 mirrors edge saves, two are corrupt and one is for the account i just restored, shouldn't it have been able to read the save from that account if it listed

I still need help with this, anyone?
