yes i know im new but ive been a lurker for a couple of months
i know i know...
im writing this hoping it helps someone:)
but anyways a good way to see if ZAP is actually affecting your bridge is to go to system settings >> network settings >> test xbox live connection and test it with your internet zone security slider on high and on medium. It should connect on medium and it should not connect on high (atleast for the way i have it configured and i always get host when i use it). If it connects when my slider is on high thats how i know that ZAP isnt affecting my bridge.
also...
when getting your friends ips using ZAP after you bounce the slider from high to medium about 5 times once you check the alerts and logs tab look at a section called "source DNS" you can usually see an isps name in there somewhere for instance "c68-35-108-131.hsd1.in.comcast.net" just ask your friends which isp they belong to so that you can label it as their ip. Also, look at the section that says "count" they should have a higher number that will stand out maybe a 3 or a 5 while the rest of the ips have a 1.
also...
when ZAP stops doing its job (and i say this because this is the only way that worked for me) uninstall it and delete your bridge. Then restart your computer and create the bridge again. Restart the computer again. Install ZAP.
also... (i know its gettin annoying... im almost done here)
if youre going to uninstall ZAP you can save all your settings before you do so so that you wont have to put everything back in.
last but not least...
when i got host banned for the third time i played about 8 games and the ban wasnt lifted so i tried SPGing my profile with a blank profile after i read it here on se7ensins and i dont know if it was a coincidence but it bloody worked...
ok thats it for my two cents
and remember im just a fellow noob trying to help out other noobs because i know i had a hard time getting it going. I really hope this helps someone.

i'm using a 32-bit pc, with zone alarm pro fully licensed, and i did everything the tutorial by Nubble said, but no ip's show up when I put my firewall on high. We just get into a match even when it's on high. WAT IS HAPPENING??
Also, when i try to use webroot to bridge, that doesnt work either.

i have a compaq 32 bit pc with Windows XP hooked up through an ethernet to a router. The router is connected to modem, and I have a USB ethernet port that has an ethernet cord to the Xbox. I have ZAP with everything from Nubble's tut inside of it. When I put the firewall on high nothing happens.

i forgot to mention...
im using 32-bit vista laptop and for some reason when i (try to) bridge using wifi it never works for me. The thing that worked for me was that one usb cable that comes with your modem for pcs without the ethernet port. I bridge using that.
modem>> USB cable >> laptop && laptop>> crossover (ethernet works fine too)cable>> xbox. For some weird reason this configuration is the one that worked for me.
From the bottom of my heart:
thank you! :)
ALSO: If there is someone splitscreening it WONT work... from my experience it seems like everyone has to have their own ip
