half life 2 on 64 bit Rate Topic: -----

ok whenever i start up half life two on my new computer it gets to the part where the guy is talking when you first start a game and then it just freezes and i have to ctrl-alt-del to get out
help me?

3.2 gh dual core processor
6 gigs of ram
internal video card
not to awful great

Did you try running the game as the administrator? Thats an issue with alot of older steam games on vista. If not that then try to defragment the Cache by right clicking the game/properties/defragment cache

well there isnt really an admin setup on my computer,
its just the one user
and i did try to defragment it :(
and i forgot to add that when the game starts up after clicking on new game, in white letters at the top it says "Node Graph Out Of Date, Rebuilding"
also after i ctrl alt del, it gives me a notice stating that igfx display driver had stopped responding but had now recovered
