Setting Skins:
1. Navigate to the System tab. In the MC360 skin, this is accompished by hitting the d-pad to the right one time. Navigate to the system tab in your skin. Scroll to the appearance tab. Scroll to the Look and Feel tab and use the D-pad to highlight the desired feature.
2. That will bring up this menu:
3. From here you can adjust the skin, skin theme, etc. Use the d-pad to navigate to the feature you want to adjust and the A button to select the desired setting.
Note: Skins have to be in the XBMC skin folder to be selected. This folder will be in the root directory of the XBMC. I.E. E-->Apps-->XBMC-->skin. Just FTP any skins you want to use to the skin folder.
Picture Settings:
1. Exit out of the Appearance tab and scroll to My Pictures in the settings tab. Click A. Click on the general tab. That will bring up the following menu.
2.From here you can adjust some picture settings, set your default screenshot folder, etc. To take a screenshot in XBMC, push in the left analog stick.
3. To select your screenshot folder, scroll down to screenshot folder and hit A. That will bring a file browser menu. Press B until you see all the different partitions on your Xbox HD:
4. Press A to select the partition which you want to contain your screenshot folder, in this instance, E-->SCREENSHOTS. Note: You can use an existing folder or create one for your screenshots, I recommend you name it something simple like screenshots.
5. Select the desired partition.
Click A. Then select the desired folder for screenshots. Once the folder is highlighted, hit right on the d-pad to select the okay button, click A.
Note: You can set this up through the settings tab, or the first time you take a screenshot. After the initial screenshot, you'll be prompted to pick a destination folder. The process is exactly the same.
Setting the .xbe for Dashboard Command
This sets the dashboard which will be launched when you click on dashboard in the shutdown menu. Push in the right analog stick to bring up the shutdown menu.
1.Exit out of the My Pictures tab and click on My Programs.
2. In the General tab, scroll down to dashboard. Click A.
3. That will bring up the following menu:
4. Press B until you see all the partitions for your Xbox. Click on the one that contains the dash you wish to lauch when pressing the dashboard command and hit A. In this case it will be the C partition. Note: UnleashX and EvoX will be evoxdash.xbe by default, avalaunch will be avalaunch.xbe. The official Microsoft dash will be xboxdash.xbe.
5. Once you've highlighted the desired dash, hit right on the d-pad. Once on ok, click A.
Setting Up a FTP Connection with XBMC
This is optional. If you run XBMC as an app, it's not necessary to setup an active FTP connection for it. However, as it will save the user from having to always navigate to the main dash to FTP, it's highly recommeded. Once you've FTPed one dash, the process is the same for the rest.
1. Exit out of the My Programs tab, scroll down to the Network tab, and click A.
2. Scroll to the network tab.
3. From here you can pick a manual, automatic, or static connection, whichever you employ for FTP purposes. This guide will not cover FTPing in depth, for that check here: How to FTP...Made Easy!! - XTREME-SOURCE
4. Just input the proper network settings where necessary. Scroll to the setting you need to change and click A. Use the numberpad to input the correct info. Hit start or click done when you're done.
Adding Photo Sources
All this means is adding an item to the menu under the pictures section of the media tab. This is useful because your default directory for pictures, photos, and music is often not available in the menu under the corresponding tab.
1. From the media menu, click pictures.
2. Hit the white button, it will bring up this menu:
3. Click on add source and hit A. The following menu will appear.
4. Push right on the d-pad to highlight browse. Click A. Press B until you see the different partitions for your Xbox. Click A on the partition which contains the folder you wish to add to the pictures menu.
5. Once the item is highlighted (in this case- "SCREENSHOTS" found in the E-->SCREENSHOTS directory) press right on the d-pad to highlight ok. Hit A.
6. Scroll to ok and click A.
Adding Video Source to the Menu
1. From the media tab, scroll to videos and click A. That will bring up this screen.
2. Once in the video menu, click the white button.
3. From there, it's the exact same process outlined in the previous section. It's also the same process for adding music sources.
Using the File Explorer
1. Press start The following menu will appear.
2. Highlight extras and click A. Click File Explorer and click A.
From here you can copy, delete, move items, or create folders, access text, image, and video files.
Basic Button Commands for File Explorer Menu
D-pad: Up and down navigate between items. Left and Right navigate directory windows, useful for copying, moving files.
A: Launch selected item.
B: Cancel/Go back one page
Y: Select/Highlight individual items
Back: Exit File Explorer
White: Bring up options (delete, copy, move, etc)
L: Scroll fast upward through directories
R: Scroll fast downward through directories
Adding Custom Wall Paper
1. Click start.
2. Highlight Personal Settings. Click A.
3. Highlight Custom Themes and click A.
4. Highlight Custom Wallpapers and click A.
This menu will appear:
From here you can set individual wallpapers, wallpaper packs, or remove wallpapers. In this example, wallpaper will be added to the media blade only. Click set seperate wallpapers. Hit A.
5. Highlight the window you wish to add wallpaper to. In this example, the media window. Hit A.

By now you should know the drill. Press B until all the partitions are visibile. Highlight the partition which contains the photo you want to add as wallpaper. Hit A. Browse to the directory which contains the picture you want and press A. Highlight the picture you want to add and push right on the D pad to highlight ok. Click A.
Basic Video Controls
A: Plays video from menu, Pauses/Unpauses video (while video is playing)
X: Plays video in background while transferring to menu. From here you can select another video.
B: Exits Video
Y: Changes screen mode. I.E. Widescreen 16:9, 4:3, etc.
D-pad Up: Skips forward in 10 minute increments
D-pad Down: Skips back in 10 minute increments
D-pad Left: Skips back in 30 second increments
D-pad Right: Skips forward in 30 second increments
White: shows XBMC status bar
Black: Shows Video clip info
Start: Brings up Settings. Includes Pause, skip back, skip forward, video settings, audio settings, playlist, and bookmarks.
Back: Skip back in 10 second increments
Left analog Left: Browses forward throughout the whole video, the longer you hold it. Pressure sensitive. (tap for a small skip, push it more forcefully for a longer skip)
Left Analog Right: Browses back throughout the whole video, the longer you hold it. Pressure sensitive.
Note: Some builds of XBMC have the right analog stick perform this function.

Right Analog Stick Down: Decrease Volume.
Final Notes
1. This guide is mainly meant to be used with XBMC as an app. A lot of the same stuff applies when using it as a main dash, but some of it may be different. Make sure you follow the proper settings depending on whether you run XBMC as a dash or an app. I personally don't recommend using it as a dash, too buggy. EvoX, UnleashX, and Avalaunch are much more stable.
2. If you're using a different skin than the MC360, the settings, directories and button commands should be similar, if not identical. If you're having a difficult time finding the settings in your current skin, you can always temporarily switch to the MC360 until everything is set right.
3. This tutorial was done with a Pimped release of XBMC, but T3ch releases should be similar for the most part.
