So Most of us know that ixtreme 1.6 will be coming out soon with the support to make backups. Well wouldn't It be a pain in the *** to take apart your xbox 360 every time you make a backup?

So I was thinking Like what if you cut out a little piece for a sata slot( in the back of the xbox) and added a switch that would separate the sata cable going into the xbox and switch it going to the sata port in the back of the xbox. That way you can just plug in the sata into your computer and turn on the xbox and make a backup then when your done you can just flip the switch and play your game.

Id rather open up my 360 once or twice a year then cute a hole in the back of it.

Ya all you really would need to do is buy a blaster 360. Which is still kinda pointless imo. Why not just buy a kreon if you are going to spend $50 on that..

Why spend money when you can make one your self for 3 dollars.
Also how are you so sure blaster will work?It is made for flashing your drive not making backups. It could be possible that it would make bad rips...
anyways..... I would just do this....


I already have a 0800 ben q drive. I just want to do this for fun.

Why wouldn't the blaster work? It is made for flashing which means it hooks up to your pc with the sata cable still. When you take your drive out of your 360. What cable are you going to use? A sata cable. How do you flash? Hooking up with a sata cable and flashing. All the same process no mater what.

Anyway. 0800 rips have to be stealthed anyway. so technically when they are made they can be called a bad rip until properly stealthed.

They auto stealth if you rip them in xbox backup creator. Ive made so many rips with my benq 0800 drive and they all have worked.
Still not banned

Another thing is that i dont have to use molex.. I can power the drive with my xbox.
Also The blaster doesnt have the MB to Female sata.
If I had the MB to female sata i could always test out an external drive.


.... anyways I'm going to do it. Idc about blaster and all that.

I am not telling you to buy it. I think the thing is pointless. I was just commenting on it. Its a waste of $50 just to be lazy. When you can open your 360 for free and hook it all up.

I made something like this before. I used a DPDT switch and mounted it in the back of the 360. The 360's dvd drive connected thru the switch and to the 360. It also connected to the mount that I added.

To flash you would flip a switch and connected the sata to your computer. Worked very nice
