NOTE: This Thread is to learn how to mod ONLINE. Not in Campaign.

Since people won't tell us exactly how to do it. I started this thread so other fellow members like myself who want to mod can learn how to. Your job in this thread is to respond with any useful information towards being one step closer to modding. Also someone from se7ensins has told me how to do it but it doesn't seem to work at all.

Things I know:
It has to do with your gameprofile FILE.
You have to get the right cheat "tag".
You have to place the "tag" in the right spot in your gamerprofile.
You do all of this ^^ by hex editing your profile.
Also, the FILE can't be any smaller or any bigger. Ex: If you add 10 characters then, you have to remove 10 characters and viceversa.

Things I've done:
I have successfully changed my clan tag.
I have successfully changed My Custom classes.
Note: ^^ Did both from hex editing gamerprofile.

Things you could tell us:
Cheat "tags" you know or an idea.
Where about do these "tags" go.
What resigner/rehasher do you use.
Any other information you think is important.

Tutorials:

How to change your ClanTag by hexediting:

1.Open up your gameprofile with a hex editor and search for "name". You should find this

set playlist "2".set clanName "Weee".set motd "rf....

2.Then To change your clantag you simply change it. Also you have to keep it the same amount of characters ex: My clan tag is weee so it has four characters. So therefor whatever I change it has to be four characters as well. Then save it it with the hex editor. To get it to work properly, you have to have the proper hasher and resigner. I use "Xbox 360 Hash Block Calculator". I may upload the hasher/resigner later today.

No one..On this forum will teach you how to mod it online..

1. B/c it will ruin the game..Why do u think halo 2..was sheeit after modding...
2. I bet there is only a few people that know how to..I know cheater does..I know how to to..But i was told by cheater and for Cod waw..Not tell any1 how to mod Zombies for Cod waw or how to mod cod4 online/cod waw..

So good luck..I bet you wont figure it out..Without some1 leaking it

The funny thing is..Im not flaming..And i dont want that game to go down the drain like Halo 2..So just leave it alone...Plus modding is dumb for match making..Dont ruin it for other people..

First of all. I don't want to cheat in MM. I use to mod halo 2 all the time. I like play friendly games with friends. I don't need to cheat. But since no one is willing to help then I decided to create a thread where people can talk about it.

FIRST of all if you are trying to hex. back up your profile. you will fu*k up! even if its not your fault it mite be your hasher and signer. once you get your profile out pull it off your HDD and copy it and whip it in a new folder and keep it there safe from you.
also about removing and adding the same amount of characters is wrong cuz most of the time the hex code had a prefixes of 0's for extra space for more didgets. you fill in the one hex code that may look simeler to this 0000004A2TS with somethings like this 0067UYGHh6J8. that is just an example tho. i have no clue what those hex codes value as.
and about people figuring it out when my xbox gets back in 2 weeks i can promise i can get the values for the campaign cheat codes and replace something else such as Perks with that value.

whenever I edit my gamerprofile and put it back on my xbox, the profile doesnt even show up. I am using xbox 360 hash block calculator, does that rehash it and resign it, because I have also used a rehasher and resigner but it was in a halo 3 aio thing so I don't think it worked. i am a complete noob at this :?

You only wanna use the Hash Block Calculator it rehashes and resigns. If you resign/rehash with something else after that it'll corrupt the profile.

well when I use only the Hash Block Calculator, it says that I don't have any gamerscore and I can't see my gamerpic, and the custom class names don't show up or my clan tag...

Good ideas, i can contribute, i have an xsata and i am able to get my profile etc and i know how to hex, i just dont know what to hex on the profile. If anyone has anyway i can contribute, PM me.

Its a string you need to add to the profile, you don't change any values.
