I need help with my homemade lag switch. Rate Topic: -----

hey, today I made a lag switch, but i'm having problems.
I got a light switch and I know I made everything correctly cause It's letting me on xbox live. My setup is modem>lag switch>router>xbox. I made my own party and invited one of my friends. Started the game, put the lag switch on until I lagged out of the party and turned it back off. But, after like 2 minutes, it kicked my friend out of the game (canceled matchmaking) and after 5 minutes it kicked me off live. Any suggestions?

yeah once it kicks u out the party hit it again thats why i do it your sopose to wait about 10-15 sec

aaron, i know this. But, when I did this it kicked me off xbox live and canceled matchmaking. could it be the router i'm using? Belkin?

Isn't the lag switch meant to be between the Xbox and Router?

Exactly Threadstarter. It is supposed to be from your Xbox to your router or modem.

No, your not supposed to directly connect your lag switch to your xbox, or else when you turn it on it will automatically disconnect you from xbox live.
