So this glitch has worked for a long time but no one seems to know how to do it so I'll explain. Basically, it makes it so that one person pays for anything on the Xbox Live Marketplace and someone else will also get the content.

Requirements:
Xbox 360 and xbox live
1 friend who wants to buy something on the marketplace

Terms I will be using:
Payer= Person paying with their MS points
Freeloader= Person not paying, getting it for free.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

1) Have the 'freeloader' recover the account of the 'payer' (make sure the 'payer' has already put the MS points onto their account)

2) Have the 'freeloader' purchase the content using the 'payers' account and using the 'payers' MS points. And then have the 'freeloader' download the game after they purchase it.

3) Have the 'payer' recover their account back and they can either go to download history or they can just find the content on XBLM and have them download the content onto their hard drive.

Now both people have the content on their hard drive and can use it. :thumbup:

Why does this work?
When you buy something off of the XBLM it remembers the hard drive you originally downloaded it to AS WELL as the account you downloaded it to, so basically you only need to meet one of the two criteria to use the content, you either need the original profile it was purchased on or the original hard drive it was downloaded onto.

Obviously you haven't tried this after NXE, because it doesn't work anymore. When you download something and someone recovers the account the maps or whatever you download go away and you can no longer use them unless the account is still on the hardrive. So only one person gets what you are downloading. Also you can't do the account switch in Download history anymore either. Because they changed the way it is set up.

Yea, and the tutorial doesn't even work. So maybe he should have checked if this worked before posting a tutorial on it. I'm getting Mythic Maps tonight at Midnight for free. YaY!!

I did not make it for that reason, I don't even really play halo except every once in a while when my friends are online. Calm down and stop trying to discredit me by saying ignorant things. k?

this does work you have to download it first time on the freeloaders xbox i just did it a week or 2 ago after the way after the nxe.

See, I thought it should still work, or people would get pretty mad at losing content due placing and xbox, changing accounts, etc. I'm going to try and make sure really soon.

Edit: and Twis7eD no offense but I'm pretty sure that you're wrong, the trick to this is that the person could not have previously bought the content, it has to be done by the freeloader or it wont work. I'm going to try to test it soon but i only have 1000 MS points and I'm not sure what I want to buy.

i know for a fact that my way is the only way in my topic. sorry for the robbing of this topic i just did not see it any ware.
but yeah if anyone wants to half the mythic maps with me hit me up or if you have a code and want to do this if you did not d-load them hit me up. doubt it will happen though.
EDIT: also you say in the tut that it remembers the hdd it is dloaded on.
if you move your hdd on someone else'z tower she wont work. :)
its either the account you downloaded it on or the HDD/Xbox combo it was first downloaded on or both.

^ The license is stored on the HDD but it is signed to that specific console.

Anyways, this doesn't work because only the person who pays will have the license stored on his account, whether or not another account SPG's and downloads it. If using an account without the license, the 360 can also allow the person to play the content assuming 2 things:
- If it's a game, you can play it if at least one account on the hard-drive has the proper licensing, and the licenses are for your specific console.
- If it's DLC, then the game will have the control over how to load it, including how to handle licensing. Some will allow you to use any content on your 360 as long as the console matched (pre-TU1.1 for Halo 3), or may require the license to be on that specific account (TU1.1 or above for Halo 3).

Nobody will tell you how to edit your account licenses, so don't ask.
