Can you believe that bungie stopped people from modding in MatchMaking? How dare they!! To think, they made it so we cant mess up what they made. The nerve of those people. Do you wanna know how to bypass the updates and play with mods in matchmaking?

Look kids, I am only gonna explain this once. You cant mod in matchmaking. People much smarter than the average xbox user has found a way to do it, but we will never release it.

And let me put down this rumor about a patch that will be made to disable the scan. Its not true. It will NEVER work. Let me explain why.


  • Halo 2 connects to bungie
  • Bungie checks to see if you have the newest update
  • If you do, you can go into matchmaking
  • If you dont you have to redownload it.



  • So if you patched it to remove the checks,...
  • It would be altered and need to be resigned.
  • There is no resigner out for .xbe or else you wouldnt need an xbox to run unsigned code. That key is held by microsoft, and is used for xbox and 360, so if we had that, we could do anything...
  • Even if we could, Halo 2 would connect to bungie, bungie would scan the .xbe update to make sure its the updated one, would notice it doesnt match, and make you redo it.

So there you go. Not only is it not going to happen, there is no patch.

MOST people who get accused of modding are actually just good, or they are standbying and people dont know the difference

Our friendship would be over. I have turned down so many money offers, hell with the money i would have made, I could have bought TpF for triple the money.

Modding in MM would be the **** i'd give like 50$ for some 1 to show me how and ill send it threw paypal or the mail

My firend mods in matchmaking he has his ip hidden then when in matchmaking he has someone on his team betray him before he gets booted out so he can eject him and bungie thinks it was the modder that got booted out and then thats it
oh yea i think the only way to get this to work is if the guy who betrayed him hits him 2 times in the back

The betraying teammate and they get booted instead doesnt work becuase of how the .xbe acts and how it gathers and stores info about the modded maps. You would end up having 2 of your teammates booted.

idk are you sure its been awhile but I am pretty sure he was a 50 in everything but you know what your probably right oh and also pwnage theres more to it than what I said I just didnt want to disclose all the information for you guys lol

if you want to play match making play halo 3 because us modders should take over matchmaking.

WE OWN HALO 2 lets leave our mark on bungie that WE CAn get past what ever they trow at us

I thought I opened it back up. Well thanks krafty.

Anyways, as I was saying, the whole "boot your teammate out and the update with think the modder got kicked" is bull too. Because the flags on the HDD when mods are found are there until you get kicked. So yeah, trying to trick it doesnt do anything. You get your team into a 2-4 disadvantage :) Congrats
