I've recently started having problems with my xbox360/games resulting in the 360 being unable to read the games.
whenever i put halo 3 in or just start it up it says can't read disc then i have to open and close the disc drive for it to read, but it won't read one of the campaign levels, and whenever i put in gears of war it starts up the first animation of the epic sign then just says can't read disc. after i open and close the disc drive it says unreadable disc. what should i do?

Should i just buy new discs or is it a problem with the 360?

ok...do you know if there is a way to move this to the xbox 360 help section(didn't see it at first) or should i not worry about that and let the mods do it?

the mods will do it, i had this problem for a while, i just opened up the 360 and cleaned it out it was really dusty.

dude my box did that 3 times (3 different xboxs) all under the 12 month shop warranty so i kept gettin nu ones, but my xbox just said "Play DVD" to every disc format XBOX Game disc, XBOX 360 Game Disc, Audio Albums(wtf?? i know they are CDs) and DVD (obviously) but none of them could be read, took all 3 consoles back to same store and everytime they didnt believe me so they tried all formats of discs and they laughs and rang MS there and then and when they put the phone down the picked the box up and put it in the bin, yes my consoles actually died (fully) MS apparently said it was a bad batch and the HDDs and MoBo's were f#cked lol good look on fixing:D

There are cds that you can buy that are made specifically to clean the lens of a dvd drive. I bought one a long time ago and works wonders on everything.

You can buy the discs, or you can buy a Qtip if you have your drive open, that would be the cheaper method
