I got a working HP pavilion dv6000 laptop screen, all wires attached from tiger direct (I work there and farmed it off a returned system). It has all the wires intact that I simply unplugged from the motherboard of the laptop. I was wondering if there's anyway that i can get a piece of hardware that will allow me to hook the screen up to some other device, car dvd player, xbox, anything.

All I have is the screen. No motherboard, no ram, no video card. A guy on the internet somewhere did this a while ago but he no longer exists (atleast i can't contact him). But the information that he left was this: an inverter, a power adapter, a/d converter, and a vga cable. I don't know what these products are or how to get them.

maybe another question might help me. What is the type of plug that comes out of the bottom of the screen. It plugs into the motherboard but i have no idea what kind of plug it is. Here is a picture

I think you'll need more angles for us to be able to tell... I can't really see it that good.

Just try this. All you need is a power supply for your monitor, and then this box will convert everything for you. No crazy ad converter or anything needed.

Not quite that either. I found out about a company called EarthLCD and they sell LCD Controllers but they aren't very cheap. The kits come with everything I need but I have yet to contact the company and speak with anyone, which I plan to do before I purchase anything.
