I dont get it. Why are the people with resigners holding them back. As far as I know, you can only "mod" in forge, not MM or customs (I think). So why all the hassel of resigning for people? Its the same concept isn't it? Either way the people are getting there maps resigned. Will the release of the resign led to bigger things or something? Because as of now it is quite childish. As for me, I don't care. I can wait because I know it will get out some way or another. But please someone explain to me why it isn't being released. I seen one answer to this question, the same thing will happen in Halo 3 as it did in Halo 2, bunch of little kids with mods running around. I need more then that.

That little paragraph may confuse you because I wrote it and it confused the **** out of me.

Nobody wants to feed people their research. If you want it, research it for yourself. In the meanwhile, people will resign for their close friends because they know them.

There are so many irresponsible people that nobody wants to release their research so random kids can go around claiming they made it and doing stupid things with a CON resigner.

Claiming what? The resigner? And research it for myself? What if Elbert told the president that back in WWII? The point of having scientist is so they do all the work and the people and benefit off of it. I just think its really childish.

(Can I like not edit my post?)

A con resigner can do more then just modify halo 3 forge varients. One ex is that you could put nude pictures in your file share.

Perfect example.

The file share system would be ruined with immature kids putting gay porn, racist images and such on their fileshares.

And it isn't limited to Halo 3. People can use it for all sorts of things and they could deteriorate the Xbox Live experience for everyone. A CON Resigner can do a lot more than you think and everyone that has one is doing a good job controlling it.

Oh alright. So the resigner does more then just sign maps.....
I was thinking Halo 2 days were the resigner just signs your maps and your good to go.
What exactly does it do? How does it have access to whats on your fileshare? And how does simply signing a map go into such depths with your whole fileshare? I guess I get why people won't let it out but I still don't get the whole "resigning" concept. I guess I'm a little to old school thinking resigner don't do **** but a quick one, two wait and yur ready to put that good o' Warlock into attack.

They sign the picture then put it back on there xbox then upload to fileshare or forge map.

Ok let me get this down in my own words.

To mod H3 you need to forge a map, basically put items where you want them. Then you use XSATA(?) to take that forge varient off your Xbox then you use an app. (Johnson?) to switch your placed items with other items like BR for pelican? Then use the resigner and use XSATA to put it back on H3?

Is that right? In simple terms anyway.

You use a Hex editor to edit the maps. Also, you have to rehash the map before you resign it. But, yeah everything else is right.

Whats rehashing do? I still haven't quite figured that out. And believe me, before I posted this topic I read a lot of other topics about this, I'm just clearing a few things up.

It's basically part of the resigning process. If you don't rehash a file, but you resign it, you won't be able to play it. So it goes hand in hand with resigning. There's a public Halo 3 rehashing tool here.

I don't know "much." It's just the basic knowledge you get from hanging around a little.

Also, hex editing forge maps is really quite easy. You open Johnson and look for the Ident of the item you placed, look for the Ident of the item you want to replace it with and replace it with that in a hex editor. Then save.

He's friends with all the big guys. And I'm sure he's researched it.

Another example of abusing a CON resigner is free Arcade Games, and all marketplace items for that matter.

We that have CON resigner I think need to publish there research to better the people that have them. Almost everyone on this side of the forum have a resigner or know someone who will resign for them. Share our new discoverys.

Thanks, but you're never going to "find" a resigner. You're going to have to make your own.

Do not download ANY resigners online. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but no matter how tempting it looks, all of them will be fake and most likely viruses. The people who make CON resigners learn great responsibility by the time they have made one and would never release one on purpose.
