i bought a xbox off of ebay about 2 weeks ago and it said mint condition hardly used and it was 160$ after tax and everything and i have had it for 2 weeks and now i got the ring of death.i tryed the towel trick and i tryed taking it apart and putting some new thermal paste on it and neither worked so is there anything else i can try cause i tryed to regester a repair on xbox.com but it says the serial is wrong so i thing it was already registered with microsoft so i dont think i can send it in so what can i do.i feel stupid for buying it used cause my friend talked me into it.now i probably wont buy another one for like 5 months cause im getting another car and im building a computer so i really wont have the money. damn and i just got cod4 i only got to play it like 5 times

Buy or put togethor a rrod repair kit. Llama has them here Llamma's Xbox 360 3RLOD (three red light error) X-Clamp Fix

well i tryed that one already like i said the only thing i didnt do is remove the xclamp and put those screws in.and if the towel trick didnt work then i dont see what taking the heat tunnel thing off will do to help
You tried what already? It sounds like you skipped some steps because these are both good ways to fix an RRod problem, the towel trick just ruins your xbox and it doesn't help at all. Follow the instructions homie, you should get i to work.

well actually i tryed the tut on my friends xbox a while back and it worked without the washers and screws but i guess it broke like 2 weeks later.and mine i tryed it and it just didnt work like it did on my friends maybe i will get those kits of washers and try it after payday.also i have to broken xboxes now and one there is no fixing someone ruined transistors and **** on the board so i think i will use that broken one and buy a new one and put the broken one in and take it back
