My 360 is not working right.Last night i was playing Gears of War with some friends for about 5 hours and decided to change the disk, to play another game, and then neither gears or any other game I tryed work, even though gears had been working 5 min previously. Everything works accept the games. When I put a game in and close the disk tray, it says Unreadable disk. I look at the disk and it is flawless, most looks new. I tried all my games and they don't work all the same "unreadable disk" error. It is appearing in the disk thing on the dashboard, were the xbox usually says the game name. If anyone has any suggestions or a reason why this is happening. I really don't want to send it in for $100 repair. Freaking warenty is over. This exact same thing happened to my friend. He sent his in or repairs.

Try to clean the disc, if not do the towel trick. Try a laser disc cleaner.

Your disc might have a smudge on it that has dirt or something in it.

Mine did this and i just sold it cause it was ****ed for like 100 on ebay..

1800-4my-xbox easy way to get it fixed as long as u have the warrenty sticker still on

Your disc reader is screwed up, I'd send it in. If your really good with hardware, you could fix it your self.

I would personally send it in though.

i doubt he knows its over i think he thinks me mean like a game stop or bestbuy warrenty the kind they offer at their store or like a 30- 90 day warrenty idk maby he has had his 360 over 3 years thts when the rrod warrenty runs out just trying to help

We have had the xbox for 2 years this fall. So the original warenty is over but the RROD warenty isn't over.

pick your xbox up shake it up tad da you have the rrod or you can just lie b/c sometimes the rrod comes up and goes away usally they just send a new xbox bac to you

I couldve gave you a trick to get a brand new 360 in less than a day, but you already sent it in and now youll have to wait 4-6 weeks =/

It took 4 weeks and 6 days for me, then I discovered a way to get one in less than a day :)

He just said he didnt want to pay a $100 becuase his warranty is over.

He found out that his warranty wasnt over hence why he sent his xbox to Microsoft.
