Hello, i succesfly made a raw dump using weeds disc 1 season 1 which is 3exactly 7.5gb. When i do the step to get the layerbreak (abort clone cd after 30 seconds) my image002.dvd that i saved only contains 7 lines which say image002.001... all the way up to image002.0007. I have made the raw dump before with a tv show... it was begining of last summer before no one knew how(i tought ppf neon)... I also used the same exact dvd drive and it worked perfectly before.. the only thing different now is the dvd... my computer(its way better now) and the halo2 disc is different. Also my friend had this same problem.. idk if it was the tut we followed or what.

Try a diff DVD idk. I used War of the Worlds and it worked great for me.

Here is my troubleshoot...
Problems?:
1Q The tutuorial said that the disc is supposed to be done in about 6 hours, mine is still going and its past that, what gives?
1A All DVD drives work differently, not only that but the quality of the disc works with that also. Mine took a little less than 24 hours, so if you're dedicated...let it run. It may seem frozen at times, its just running into speed bumps.
2Q When I open the IMAGE002.dvd in a txt, it doenst have the LayerBreak thingy on top, so I don't know what to do or if it works, help?
2A Sometimes that doesn't work as it's supposed to so you have to manually put in:
LayerBreak=1966288
IMAGE000.iso
then save it as IMAGE000.dvd.
3Q Midship and the main menu isn't modded or is screwed up, whats up?
3A Make sure Midship is correctly sign with CMR 2 and the other maps, and with midship and the main menu, you have to use the security sector to inject those maps.
4Q All my maps are not working, failed.
4A Make sure they are signed correctly and you correctly hotswapped. The disc might have stopped, that means the game lagged out and you too slow or swapped it at the wrong spot. Either that or you did not burn the game correctly.
5Q My modded main menu wont work, and I know that it works for sure.
5A When you load up the original Halo 2, it loads and uses the original main menu, because its a map. You have to reset it by either hotswapping during the bungie logo, main menu song, or what works best for me, sign on to live, either hotswap in the custom pregame lobby, go to the content download, or just go strait to the content download and hotswap, then hit B to go back and load the main menu map.
6Q When I hotswap in the custom pregame lobby, I load the map, then swap the disc and start the game, but its not modded.
6A You have to load the map, swap discs, then select another map to read the disc, then it will work for all maps if made correctly.
7Q What drives are compatable with this?
7A All drives are compatable with DVD R's at least. The Samsung has to be flashed in order to read back-up games as an original game so you don't have to hotswap. Same with the Hitachi and the Phillips. I mod using DVD R and RW's on a Thompson and searching for a firmware (Flashing App).
8Q I get an error at 0% instead of 7%, WTF?
8A Here's the possibilities:
1 The disc wasn't running at top speed
2 The disc lagged out
3 You didn't choose the options right
4 You hit the save button AFTER you swapped discs
-To Fix-
1 Restart from the beginning and make sure the disc is at top speed before you hit save.
2 Restart and swap faster and make sure you spin the disc.
3 Restart WITH THE RIGHT OPTIONS
4 Restart, and on ISO Buster, get to the save to screen THEN hotswap discs.

i used pirates of the carribean 1 and it worked fine
