I decided to finally try and jailbreak my iPhone 3G today. I went and downloaded blackrain following Carson's tutorial. Once I hit the make it rain button my phone reboots but then it shows the little usb plug and is indicating that I need to plug it in and run iTunes. In iTunes it says: iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. And when i want to restore it I have to change what usb port it's plugged into otherwise i get error 14

close itunes and everything in ur task manager that has to do with itunes or ipod etc etc.. and then put ur phone dfu mode (turn off ur phone and then turn it on while holding the home button). and then download blackrain from blackweather if u dont have the newest one and then hit make it rain and then it should be jailbroken.

o and all the messages (if itunes pops up) just ignore them all
