The Division’s upcoming beta has been delayed. Originally planned for a December 2015 release, the beta has been pushed to a new release date sometime in early 2016. While this is sad news for any PlayStation 4 and PC gamers, those who pre-ordered the game on the Xbox One will get access to the exclusive Xbox One alpha test. The upcoming alpha will start on December 9th and will run throughout December 12th. All players will be placed on a waitlist, and people who pre-ordered the game will be given access on an “as needed basis.”

The main focus of the alpha is for Ubisoft to gather player feedback on different aspects of The Division. This includes the valuable data that will show how their servers perform when under pressure. The alpha will have the Dark Zone areas available, which means players will be able to engage each other in intense PvP combat. The Division alpha will take up 23.2 GB worth of space on your Xbox One, so you’re going to want to free up some space if you’re lacking on it.

Just to recap, if you’d like guaranteed access to The Division beta, you’ll need to pre-order the game for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC from any retailer participating in giving out beta access code. If you don’t want to pre-order the game, you can register for the beta free of charge, but this won’t guarantee you access to the beta. I’ll leave links below for you to pre-order or sign up for the beta. Tom Clancy's The Division releases on March 8th 2016, make sure you’re ready to take on New York City by then.
