Tim Cook On Removing Pre-Installed Apps

I'm sure that most iPhone users are familiar with those annoying apps that you never use or have ever opened, however, Apple forces you to keep them. Well, there may still be some hope, we may actually be able to remove these apps soon. According to Tim Cook, the Apple CEO, this is something that Apple has been looking into recently, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

Most would have thought that something along these lines would have already been implemented or fixed, but, this is the first time Apple has really confronted the issue. During an interview with Buzzfeed, Cook explained that removing applications, such as the Apple Watch app for example, could cause unwanted issues with the iPhone or iPad. What kind of issues? Well, I don't know considering that the product was able to work just fine without it before. Not every app is tied to something else, so, we may be able to remove some apps before others.

"So over time, I think with the ones that aren’t like that, we’ll figure out a way [for you to remove them]," said Cook. It’s not that we want to suck up your real estate; we’re not motivated to do that. We want you to be happy. So I recognize that some people want to do this, and it’s something we’re looking at."

I know that this in particular has been an issue for quite sometime, and it's about time that Apple has finally begun listening to things that are being said by their fans. Although, there are still several other things Apple should be focusing on first.
