The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition Announced

A few moments ago, an announcement trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition went up on the official 'The Witcher' YouTube channel. This announcement comes after Amazon accidentally leaked the release date for the game earlier today. CD Projekt RED, the developers behind the title had confirmed back in July that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt would be getting a GotY edition sometime soon.

Just as the Amazon listing said, the game will be available for purchase starting on August 30th, so just at the end of the month. It will come priced at a competitive $50, which is a great deal considering all the content you get. The GotY edition will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and for PC.

The Complete Edition, another name that the re-release will go by in some regions, will come packaged with both major DLC's that were released following the games release. It'll also be accompanied by the 16 free DLC addons which included smaller things such as new costumes. All in all, players can expect about 150 hours of gameplay time with this title + DLC, even more if players wish to do the side quests.

As an avid fan of the game, I'd recommend this game to anyone who hasn't played it yet, it's probably the best game I've ever played. What do you think? Will you be purchasing this once it becomes available? Leave your thoughts below!
