The Fun Pimps are planning to bring their popular zombie survival horror game to consoles this year with the help of Telltale Games. Originally released in December 2013 for PC, the game quickly attracted over 1.5 million PC players, all struggling to survive in what's left of a zombie apocalypse. It'll interesting to see what kind of additions Telltale Games can bring to The Fun Pimps popular horror title, considering their previous work with the undead, it's no wonder they decided to help assist with this project.

7 Days To Die will feature large environments ripe for players to explore in the post-apocalyptic world overrun by the undead. Players will be able to craft useful tools, weapons, clothes, armor, and even vehicles. Freedom to do what you want is one of the main points of the game. Telltale has always been about giving players the freedom of choice in their games, so it’ll be interesting to see their take on a game where the player can create their own story from the ground up.

The game seems to take notes from your basic, “How to Make an Open-World Survival Horror” handbook, as players will be able to take over structures and claim them as their own bases; or if they wish to, craft their own custom one. Telltale aims to make the game have a fully destructible and moldable environment, so players will need to have traps lying in wait for anything that may be coming to take down their fortress. Having strategic defensive positions in and around your home are a major part of protecting it. Fortunately, you won’t have to defend it alone.

Want to play with a friend? In 7 Days To Die, you’ll be able to join for friends on their adventure through the blood-stained wasteland via the two-player split screen mode, or the game’s online 8-player multiplayer. Players will also be able to enjoy PvP battles, co-op survival, and co-op creative modes. With nearly 50 multi-tiered skill and perk groups the potential for your character to grow into a true survivor is great. The game will have around 400 items for you and your friends to collect and use; and with over 1,200 unique building blocks in the game’s creative mode, you’re ensured a level of freedom to create what you want only a few games can provide.

According to an Amazon link, 7 Days To Die is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 28, 2016 for only $30. Pre-ordering the console version of 7 Days to Die will allow purchasers to receive five character skins from Telltale's The Walking Dead series, including Michonne and Lee.
