The wait is finally over. Samsung has finally, officially announced its two new smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge to the world, which are here to replace the Galaxy S5, Samsung’s previous flagship phone. Shown to the public at Mobile World Congress in Spain, the S6 and the S6 Edge certainly have a lot to bring to the table, certainly, more so than the S5. However, while Samsung’s newest offering seems promising, is it enough to atone for the S5’s mistakes?

The first thing you’ll probably notice about the Galaxy is the new back. The standard removeable plastic back is gone, being replaced by a Gorilla Glass back that is not removable, in a fashion that recalls the iPhone 6. While this may be an improvement in terms of style, this can be seen as a downgrade in functionality. With previous models, you could at least get back there if you needed to. Two new additions are Samsung Pay, which in case you didn’t guess is Samsung’s take on Apple Pay, and a Touch ID system.

In terms of power, you really can’t help but be impressed at the power that this phone is packing. Sporting Samsung’s own 8 core Exynos CPU and 3GB of RAM, this phone is ready to handle anything you throw at it. Those who have had hands on time with the phone have reported that it's about as snappy as you would expect it to be, which is always a good sign. Lastly, the S6 will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop.

So, what do you think about the Samsung's newest phone? Will this phone be another disappointment like the S5, or will this be Samsung's gamechanger? Let me know what you think below.
