December 1st is almost here. As we inch closer to the release date of Rainbow Six Siege, the developers over at Ubisoft wanted to give the game one last test before releasing it. Starting on November 25th, gamers will be able to participate in the Rainbow Six Siege Open Beta. You’ll be able to test the waters with the operators and maps available in the beta. The beta will end on November 29th, and because of this, players will be able to pre-load the full game on November 23rd. If you participated in the Closed Beta in September, you’ll be able to get access to the Open Beta a day early.

The Open Beta will feature fourteen operators, which is six less than the twenty that will be available when the full game launches. For any of you that were wondering, these operators will include Glaz, Tachanka and Kapkan, three of the Russian Spetsnaz operators seen in the Closed Beta.

The game modes in the Open Beta will both follow PvP Competitive Multiplayer and the PvE Terrorist Hunt modes. In PvP, players will be able to play in both Ranked and Unranked modes. As with most betas, any progress you make will not carry over to the full game. However, you will be able to test out the upcoming Hardcore settings. Players will also be able to try out two of the PvP modes that were featured in the Closed Beta. You’ll be able to try out TDM - Secure Area in which you’ll be fighting other players over control of a certain room, and TDM - Bomb, in which you’ll be defusing and defending bomb locations.

As for the PvE mode, Terrorist Hunt - Disarm Bomb will be available to play. This mode will have you and your team infiltrate a location that’s filled with White Masks. You’ll need to disarm two different bombs, and once they are disarmed, the White Masks will close in on the location killing anyone who gets in their way. You’ll need to set up proper offensive and defensive positions to hold them off before moving on to the next bomb location.

Last but not least, players will get to try out three maps during the Open Beta. Two of which, Hereford and House, were already seen during the Closed Beta. However, the Kanal Industrial Harbor map will be a brand new one, and it’ll give Closed Beta players something fresh to try out. All three maps will be playable on day and night settings, and you’ll be able to play all of the PvP and PvE modes on all of them. Make sure you participate in the Open Beta before Rainbow Six Siege releases on December 1st for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
