Well I have good news for all you Battlefield 4 fans out there. DICE has officially announced that the open beta will start on October 4th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

No real news on when the "exclusive" beta will start; which allows early access to whoever pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition, obtain the MoH: Warfighter online pass or have Battlefield 3 Premium. We will most likely obtain more information in the near future. The time interval between the closed and open versions of the beta could vary from a week to two days, meaning that we could see it start on the 24th or 28th of this month.

What will be included in the beta you ask? Players will be able to test their combat skills in Conquest mode on the map "Siege of Shanghai," the multiplayer map that was showcased at E3. We will be able to pilot a variety of new vehicles, use brand new weapons and test out the revamped customization system, and take control of the many other new features included. If you are like me, I am aiming at testing the new destruction effects, primarily by making the skyscraper come crashing down on my enemies.

Check out some of Siege of Shanghai to see what you are going to experience:

Will you be participating? If so, what are most excited about doing in the beta? Be sure to let me know in the comments below.

Battlefield 4 will release for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 29th. The next-gen versions will drop in a later date.
