Since the smartphones and tablet took over the casual gamers, a lot of people have been wondering why Nintendo isn't porting some of their old Mario or Zelda games to iOS or Android. Even though it might seem to be a good idea the company believe it would take away one of the main reason people buy Nintendo hardware, which is why Nintendo was and still is not into the smartphone and tablet market yet.

In an interview with King 5 news the CEO of Nintendo America, Reggie Fils-Aime, revealed that Nintendo was interested in "experimenting" with the smartphones and tablets. Now, don't expect to see any full Mario games in the App store because Reggie said that they only want to keep Nintendo's brand relevant in this new mobile world and to bring more customer to their own gaming hardware.

Reggie said "We’re also doing a lot of experimentation of what I would call the little experiences you can have on your smartphone and tablet that will drive you back to your Nintendo hardware. It’s largely going to be much more marketing activity-oriented, but we’ve done little things where there’s some element of gameplay – a movement, a shaking, something like that." So prepare to shake and move your smartphone or tablet, Nintendo's way!
