Nintendo 3DS demos arriving tomorrow

We were promised demos, and we'll be getting demos. Whilst Japan may have had the ability to download and play them little under a month ago, Nintendo have kept their promise and starting tomorrow US citizens will be able to download them straight from the 3DS shop onto our handheld consoles.

Resident Evil: Revelations will be unleashed on eager gamers tomorrow, and fans can expect to see more in the upcoming weeks. Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will be found in the eStore just a week later; followed closely by Rayman Origins and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, however the release dates have not been specified. Nintendo plan to release further demos in the future, 'periodically'.

The Nintendo 3DS's success has sky-rocketed since its release in March 2011 (late February for the Japanese). Sales were lower than expected, less than 3 million were sold in the first six months, and Nintendo were facing a tricky decision of cutting the prices to increase sales. But better late than never; sales figures sky rocketed with the anticipation of games including: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Starfox 64 3D, and Kid Icarus: Uprising to name a few. As of January 3rd 2012, over 4 million 3DS handhelds have been sold as of January 3rd 2012 in the USA alone, whilst Japan had breached the 4 million barrier during the week leading up to Christmas.

With the recent success of the 3DS, what else can we expect to see? What demos would you like to play? Have the recent games persuaded you to purchase a 3DS?
