    After being delayed earlier this year, Quantum Break finally has a new release date. During their Gamescom briefing today, Microsoft announced their new third-person shooter will be making its way, exclusively, to Xbox One on April 5, 2016. The new gameplay trailer below shows how Jack Joyce (the main character) will be able to manipulate the freezing and jumping time warps to his advantage.


    Developer Remedy has a star studded cast lined up for this title, including Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen and Dominic Monaghan. Quantum Break which will be more than just a game, as a live-action television show will accompany it. The playable game being the storyline of the heroes, and the TV series being the storyline of the villains.

    The storyline of Quantum Break begins when the main protagonist's brother, Will, makes an attempt at building a time machine. When his experiment fails, time becomes a fractured puzzle of pieces, thus, leaving Jack to scramble to put it back together. With the ability to freeze time, cinematic combat will be pushed to its utter limits, allowing players to simply walk up to gun-toting enemies and haymaker punch them in the side of the head, producing explosions in slow-motion as time warps and stutters all around you.

    This game seems very nice and all, the thing is I hope it has enough action in it.

    Time bending is something I like in my TV shows, but not video games personally. But since this kind of hits both worlds, why not give it a try? Plus, Shawn Ashmore from The Following is an awesome actor.

      I have to agree with that, it is something that hasn't really been tackled well in video games, but I think this one has a slightly better chance. Also, Shawn Ashmore and The Following is friggin awesome! Can't wait for another season.

      That wouldn't surprise me.. But if it was on PC we know the graphics would even be better.
