For those of you who may have missed the gameplay trailer at E3, Firewatch is a first-person, action adventure type of game with heavy ties to suspense and horror. The game itself is full of a lot of suspenseful and dramatic moments, but it doesn't fall short of great humor and joy. Just by watching the trailer it is clear that the dialogue flows extremely well and isn't forced like it may be in other games. Players will find themselves playing as a park ranger named Henry who is situated in the Wyoming wilderness. The game has very little human to human contact, with the majority of it happening between you and another ranger named Delilah through a walkie talkie system. Towards the end of the trailer, viewers are given a sneak peek as to what they could expect from the game.
A few of the developers behind The Walking Dead: Season One arcade game are also working on Firewatch. I found myself very interested in the game by simply watching the trailer. The world looks humongous and the mixture of drama and humor is something that I like to see in a video game. If you have any thoughts or comments of your own then feel free to leave them down below!
