DICE have announced that gamers will be able to transfer any stats, unlocks and ranks you unlock on the current-generation console version of Battlefield 4 to the Xbox One or PlayStation 4, with a short and simple statement reading: "We got your back," The announcement comes after Activision revealed the same process will be available on the recently announced Call of Duty: Ghosts, with player statistics, as well as downloadable content, available for transfer.
"Whether you are playing on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, we want to make your transition to next generation consoles easy. That is why today we are informing the devoted Battlefield community that all the time and effort you spend building up your Battlefield 4 stats will carry over when you upgrade from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One and from the PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4." EA announced in a post on their website.

That's not all! DICE also revealed a Premium service, similar to that on Battlefield 3, providing digital expansion packs, along with weekly content and personal customisation options. This content will also transfer over from current-generation consoles to next-generation consoles. Although no price has been confirmed, it's thought that $50 will be the one-off payment for the subscription, as the Ghosts Season Pass will likely cost the same. DICE will give a first look at some of the Battlefield 4 Premium content during the company's Gamescom briefing on August 20th, begging at 10am EDT. Other games at Gamescom include Need for Speed Rivals, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, FIFA 14, EA Sports, UFC, Command & Conquer and The Sims 4.
